UPG1600/UPG2600 Pattern Generator Upgrade Kit
The D.W.Mann 1600A was the earliest of the Mann pattern generators and was built around the DEC PDP-8 minicomputer. The Mann 2600
was a slightly later version that improved the speed of the X-Y stage motion but retained the resolution of the 1600A. For this
upgrade kit, the original software was completely rewritten and ported to a PC. An industry standard parallel digital I/O board
(PIO-12 or PIO-24) is used to control the pattern generator. The kit includes documentation, a digital I/O board, cables, three (3) boards
to replace boards within the pattern generator interface and software to operate and test the pattern generator.
